Yandex and Enterprise Incubator Foundation launch a joint educational program at Vanadzor Technology Center named «Yandex programming school» in Armenia.
High school students will get the basic skills of the developer. They will get acquainted with programming using the example of Python, which is not difficult to learn and gives opportunity to solve many problems. It is one of the most popular programming languages in the world and is used in Yandex and, for example, in NASA. Trainings are free in Yandex school.
The training is developed in Yandex Data Analysis School (https://yandexdataschool.ru)and is designed for high school students of 9-11 classes interested in mathematics and information technologies. The trainings will take place at Vanadzor Technology Center. The duration of the training is one year 2 times a week. After each lesson practical assignments will be given to the students. The group will consist of no more than 14 high school students and the trainings will be conducted by local specialists trained in Yandex company.
The first half of the year will be devoted to the basics of Python: variables, conditions, cycles, operators, lists and functions. In the second half of the year the high school students will deal with standard and external libraries, as well as will get acquainted with the object-oriented programming.
The recruitment of the participants will be in August 2018 and the trainings will begin in October. In order to be a student of Yandex school you need to pass the test and the interwiew.
